Free Falling's Story

Free Falling is the most ambitious piece that artist, Jolianne Alexander, has tackled, to date. This massive 36"x48" piece was born out of Jolianne's need to push herself past her comfort zone--which is the entire essence of the Apocalypse collection. This signature piece of the Apocalypse collection is meant to embody the freedom and power we all have within ourselves to push past perceived limitations, to fall freely into our destiny, and to overcome obstacles. 

Unlike the Afro-Art collection, which primarily depicts the beauty of Black culture, Apocalypse is intended to broadly depict the power within all of us, regardless of race, ethnicity, or background. Apocalypse is a diverse and culturally inclusive collection devoted to bringing unity in our differences. Pimento Creations fights for social justice and believes that one way to achieve that is by bridging cultural divides. We are all one people and we must stand for each other and speak up whenever and wherever injustice may lie. Free Falling and the entire Apocalypse collection is the embodiment of Pimento Creations' ideals and visions for the world--Love, Respect, Power, and Unity.
